Salvia Ostfriesland is an extremely tough and an easy to grow herbaceous perennial. This very popular plant is a winner of the RHS Award Of Garden Merit. Long lasting spikes of violet-blue flowers are produced throughout summer into autumn. It has a low growing upright habit. It will grow best in a sunny position in well drained soil. It has nectar rich flowers which will attract bees and other pollinators.
