The White Himalayan Birch is a fast growing medium sized deciduous tree. It is prized for it's brillant white peeling bark. Please note the bark is a rich brown when young and ages to white as it matures. It has a broad crown and graceful open habit. Yellow-Brown male catkins appear in spring. The leafs are glossy dark green turning to yellow in autumn. Fantastic planted as a stand alone specimen or planted in groups. The white bark stands out especially in winter when the tree is bare.
