Betula pendula Tristis is a weeping version of the native silver birch. It is a medium to tall slender tree with a weeping habit. When mature the bark is white and peeling. Long brown catkins appear in spring. The leaves are small and green and flutter nicely in the breeze. The leaves turn yellow in autumn. Lovely specimen tree when grown out on it's own to allow you to appreciate the graceful weeping habit.
