Hosta Aureomarginata is a clump forming herbaceous perennial. This very popular plant is a winner of the RHS Award Of Garden Merit. It is best know for it's neat clumps of heart-shaped leaves. The leaves are mid-green colour edged with yellow variegation. Lily-like lavender flowers appear in July. Hostas are best grown in a moist shady area. They can also be grown in pots to give a great display. They are easily divided in autumn or spring. Remember to control slugs.
