Sturon is an outstanding maincrop variety that produces high quality medium sized onions with a strong, juicy flavour. Sturon has won the RHS Award Of Garden Merit. Bolt resistant with excellent storage qualities.  

We advise that you unpack your sets when delivered and spread out in a light cool place until until you are ready to plant.

500g is approx 60-70 large sets. Increase quantity in shopping basket as required         

eg 2 x 500g is approx 120-140 large sets etc. ​​

Onion Sets Growing Tips

• Plant - March-May
• Harvest - August-September
• Plant in well drained soil in full sun that has been prepared a few weeks in advance by incorporating compost/manure/fertiliser. Do not plant in freshly manured soil.
• Plant with the tips just protruding above the soil with 10cm between each set and 30cm between each row.
