Apple 'Discovery' is an early season sweet dessert apple. It was initially introduced to the market in 1949 in Suffolk in the UK. It is prized for it's early fruits, fantastic colour and strawberry hinted flavour. The apples are small to medium in size. The skin is shiny red with juicy cream coloured flesh which is sometimes tinted pink. It belongs to pollination group 3 and will pollinate with groups 2/3/4. Discovery has excellent disease resistance.
