Crocosmia Lucifer is an easy to grow and very hardy perennial plant. Striking fire-engine red coloured flowers are produced during late summer into autumn. The leaves are tall and sword shaped giving it a wonderful architectural shape. A very well regarded and well known plant this is a must for any garden.

Crocosmia Growing Tips

• Choose a site in full sun or partial shade and well drained soil
• Plant out in spring when the soil is not too wet or start them off in the greenhouse in pots during late winter or early spring
• Plant the bulbs approx 10cm deep in well drained soil and incorporate well rotten organic matter or compost.
• Space each bulb only a few cm apart to produce a nice clump when grown.
• Cut back to ground level in autumn and mulch for the winter.
• Clumps over time can quickly become congested leading to poor flowering. Clumps should be divided every few years to prevent this.
