This Oriental Lily Happy Love is a great compact plant which is perfect for growing in pots. It produces large dark red flowers on sturdy stems. It grows to a height of approx 40cm and will produce blooms from May to September.  Can also be grown in beds.

Lily Growing Tips

• Choose a site where to roots are slightly shaded but the flowers will be in full sun.
• Plant out in spring when the soil is not too wet or start them off in the greenhouse in pots during late winter or early spring
• Plant the bulbs approx 15cm (6 inches) deep in well drained soil and incorporate well rotten organic matter or compost.
• Space each bulb at least 20-30cm apart.
• Support with canes as they start to grow.
• Deadhead regularly to promote flowering.
• Feed with a high potash feed during summer to encourage more blooms.
