Pear 'Conference' is the most common and reliable pear to grow in Ireland. It produces long, juicy and sweet pears that can be eaten or used in cooking. Often best to pick the fruit and ripen indoors. Conference is self-fertile, but will often crop better with a pollination partner. Should be grown in full sun to encourage fruiting.
